Use of the Leash-Free Zone is at your own risk

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the Leash-Free Zone (Parks Bylaw Section 35.12)

Dog walker permit required to walk more than 4 dogs to a maximum of 8 dogs from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday

Dogs are the responsibility of the owner or dog walker at all times

The Leash-Free Zone is subject to the City’s Animal Care and Control By-law 98-04, the City’s Parks By-law 186-05 and the Dog Owners Liability Act (DOLA), all as amended

Any dog(s), including but not limited to Pitbulls, under provincial or municipal muzzle orders must be muzzled while in the Leash-Free Zone

Keep dog(s) in sight and under control at all times

Do not leave dog(s) unattended

Fill in any holes dug by your dog(s)

Ensure the gate is closed when you enter and exit

Pick up after your dog(s) and place waste in garbage receptacle. Dog waste is not recyclable and is a bio-hazard.

The following dogs are not permitted to enter the Leash-Free Zone:
X Aggressive dogs
X Puppies under 4mths
X Female dogs in heat
X Sick dogs
